How this works (in plain words)
A rule-based “opening breakout” trader for Nasdaq-100 futures (NQ / MNQ). It never guesses — it follows the same rules every day.
- The US market opens at 9:30 (New York time). For the first 15 minutes the bot just watches and notes the highest and lowest price — the shaded “range” on each chart.
- After 9:45, if a candle closes above the range the bot BUYS; if one closes below the range it SELLS. The idea: a strong break out of the morning range often keeps going.
- It only takes the trade if the breakout looks strong (big candle, decent-sized range, clear break). About 9 days in 10 it does nothing and the page says “NO TRADE” and why.
- Every trade has a stop (where it gives up with a small loss) and a target (where it takes profit). If neither is hit, it closes at 15:45.
- Two versions run side by side: one reads 1-minute candles, the other 5-minute candles. Pick a deposit and risk % at the top to see what the profit would have been on your account size.
Honest status: the past numbers are a backtest (rules tested on old data), not live money. Since the “forward test” start date the results are true paper trades and are counted separately. Losing months happen. Simulated results, not financial advice.

Profit / loss by month
Includes backtest history and, from the start date, live paper trades.
Backtest days replay the frozen rules on history. Days on or after the forward start date are true paper results. Position size = contracts so the stop risks the chosen % of the deposit (minimum 1 contract; sized on the starting deposit, no compounding). A trade costs 1 point (spread/slippage/commission estimate). Simulated results, not financial advice.
